The Zambia Debate Association (TZDA) was founded in 2026 with the vision of creating a strong and vibrant debate culture among young people and citizens across Zambia.
The association was established in response to the growing need for intellectual engagement, public speaking, critical thinking, and constructive dialogue among youths, students, professionals, and communities.
Inspired by the importance of democratic discussion and informed public participation, the organization seeks to provide a national platform where ideas can be exchanged respectfully and confidently.
TZDA seeks to unite schools, colleges, universities, and communities through debate activities that encourage civic responsibility, confidence, and national development — at a time when Zambia continues to promote youth participation and freedom of expression.
TZDA is governed by a dedicated team of elected leaders committed to building Zambia's debate culture across all 10 provinces.
From school competitions to national championships — TZDA brings structured debate to every corner of Zambia.
The first-ever TZDA National Championship bringing together debaters from all 10 provinces. Categories for schools, universities, and open professionals.
